Choosing Terror Alerts Was "A Living Hell"
In a tearful resignation speech at the White House today, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge admitted for the first time that he is "totally color blind," a condition that made choosing terror alerts "a living hell."

One White House aide who was present at Mr. Ridge's resignation praised the color-blind cabinet member for his courage in coming clean: "The only braver thing I can imagine would be John Ashcroft admitting that he's never read the Constitiution."
Maybe Ashcroft figures, it's so obvious, everyone MUST already knows that??

Hello,
I found your blog through other people. I've been reading what you say about religious fundamentalists with great interest. You raise a lot of interesting points. I happen to attend a church full of what you refer to as fundamentalists in Orange County, California. The county went to Bush by a 20 point margin while its neighboring LA county gave Kerry the largest county wide margin in the country. While the state may be blue, the county is very red.
I finally decided to write an essay about religion and politics from my perspective. My take might surprise you. Here is the link.
